More Flow, More Grow: Developing Mindfulness

In mindfulness, we are aware of our thoughts, feelings, and intuitions; we attune to others (to their thoughts, feelings, and intuitions); and we accept the reality of our life conditions, our reality-testing, for the purposes of expansion (we must be willing to adapt). Mindfulness in the coaching context is about striking a balance on this continuum of awareness – attunement – acceptance.

Mindfulness Coaching: Your Signature Strengths

In the next decade, the most important change in the business of change (organizational development) will be the inclusion of evidence and methodologies from the field of developmental psychology. Specifically, from adult learning theory and development. Here, I discuss character and will as part of the “signature strengths” method of positive psychology. Later on, I will show how positive psychology overlaps with developmental psychology.
